MEMBERSHIP & ADMISSION RULES

Membership Forms are available at the counter. Applicants are required to establish their identity and get their membership form attested by a first class gazzetted officer. Student members are required to get their membership forms attested by the Head of their respective institution.

The application form must be filled completely. Applicants for the library membership are enrolled immediately, provided they submit photocopies of their National Identity Card.

     MEMBERSHIP DUES

Membership of the library is renewable annually. Student members are required to obtain a clearance certificate (NOC) from the librarian to enable them to appear in examinations. Library Security is Rs.500 (refundable). The Annual Fee is Rs.300/-

      LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

Members and visitors are required to adhere to the following rules and regulations:-

• To conduct themselves in an orderly manner and observe silence.
• No Smoking, Drinking or Eatables allowed in the Library.
• Replacement and Transfer of Books is not allowed. Readers must leave the books on the table after use and not shelve them.
• Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
• The Library shall not receive telephonic calls on behalf of readers, Private calls are also not allowed.
• Readers shall entrust their private belongings (books, briefcases, handbags etc.) They will be required to submit for checking any book or object whilst leaving the library.
• Library rules are subject to change and modifications by the Board of Management of the Library.

        BORROWING AND CARE OF BOOKS

• A member is entitled to borrow upto two books at a time for a period of one month. Books must be returned or renewed within this period; else a fine of Rs.0.5 per day per book shall be charged.
• Any member who fails to return a book (or pay for it, if it is lost) after second reminder will be blacklisted with membership cancellation, and his security forfeited.
• Duplicate card will be issued for an additional charges of Rs.30/- and on the second occasion, a new card will be issued for Rs.75/-
• Membership cards are not transferable.
• Members are requested not to deface or damage the books.
• Any book lost/damaged must be paid for as assessed by the librarian.
• Books will not be issued on Sundays.
